We went over to our son and DIL  Monday  and all her Christmas  decorations  are already  taken  down.  The grandkids  are upset  by this and I  was wondering  why if you take your decorations  down already and Why? The rest of their home is a mess so it wasn't to keep it clean.

You could ask THEM why!

Hi @sweetee2  It might be, they put them up so soon, they are now sick of looking at them.

Maybe they were tired of having them up.

I'll never understand why it's such a big deal when people take down their Christmas decorations.

Busy people do things when they have time or extra help.

Someday, when scientists discover the center of the Universe....some people will be disappointed it is not them.

When we used to decorate. We always put our decorations up just prior to Christmas ,and kept them up until after Epiphany( the visit of the 3 kings)

You are probably  right.  They do put their tree up the day after Thanksgiving.

I think as others have mentioned, the trend is to put everything up right after Thanksgving now and by the time Christmas actually comes, they're ready to take down. We don't put our up until a week or maybe two before Christmas, so we leave it up until New Years anyway.

I took mine down on Tuesday. On Monday all the other Christmas decor came down, then yesterday the tree. While it's very pretty and I love it, I also was ready to have my house back to normal. If she had to return to work on Tuesday, she probably wanted to get it done before while she had more time to do it.
