Kalli, Praying for a full recovery for you.
I'm glad you were able to vent here knowing that you would be supported with how you felt about being so rudely imposed upon without any prior notification, and I certainly hope you got an apology.
"Be Blessed"

@Kalli I totally agree with you! People can be so clueless sometimes when it comes to something like this....no thought at all that perhaps you are not well. I certainly would not have answered the door either.
Maybe you could have emailed back to let them know you are having some health issues and once you are better you will get back to them then.
I'm sorry to hear what you are going through and wish you the very best. I hope you see this illness behind you with a full recovery asap!

@Kalli, I hope you get the very best of news in the next few weeks.
I fully understand not wanting to address emails or a knock at the door. There was no reason why a letter couldn't have been sent. If something needed your immediate attention that could be put in snail mail or a brief 30 second phone call /voice message. And a prior phone asking you if there was a convenient time to contact you by phone or in person would have been the right thing on their part.
Vent as much as you like.

People are so RUDE lately that I barely know what to say. I have neighbors who "suggest" that I might be on welfare because I don't have a maid and gardener...
May G-d bless you on your difficult journey. di

So sorry @Kalli for everything you're going through and I'm sure it takes all you've got to get through the day. The last thing you need is any intrusion into your recovery. I never open my door ~ EVER! I have instructions on my grocery and pharmacy deliveries "Do Not Ring or Knock" and they leave it at the front door until I'm ready to open my door after they are long gone and bring my delivery inside. I actually began this directive when I was fostering pups so they wouldn't go crazy barking and kept it in place since it worked out so well.
Continued success with everything...

@Kalli It's not OK. They may be very desperate for money, only thing I can think of. But just because they show up, you don't have to let them in. Just say through the chained there. I can't see you I am busy. Please don't show up to my home without an appointment. You don't owe this person anything.
I hope you are all better soon!, and take care!

I'm sorry some dolt did that to you. I remember my sister going through all that. I'd bet it was HIS idea to do that. Doubt the company he comes from sent him. Sounds like he's already close to being let go. Good luck on all your treatments and I hope for the best for you.
P.S. Don't answer the door, you are under no obligation to do that. Be safe.

I hope you are doing much better and I am sending my wishes for a full recovery! No, it's not okay for people to just stop by without a warning. I would not have responded either. Very disrespectful. I don't do it and expect the same of others.

Hope you're feeling better and are progressing and will get a great report...
About drop ins....I NEVER answer the door, and, I think it's very rude to "drop in" on someone. I feel uncomfortable with strangers in my home ( and also a lot of people I know!!! which isn't many today, but still....!!)
It's YOUR house and health!! Run it like YOU want to!!!!
Not to scare anyone...but I just read a sad article from Japan..
.Google "Nomura ex staff member( fnancial services company) employee arrested for attempted murder" of his former elderly financial clients IN THIER HOME!!!! He tried to rob them, then kill them.
You can't be too careful today...even of people you THINK you can trust.
