Re: Just learned lesson about QVC shipping....OMG

I emailed the social team and they said they would refund the shipping as a one time courtesy.  They asked if I wanted to order the jacket since they did not exchange it like I asked.  I said no since I cannot afford to pay 12.00 to try something on.  I shop online because I am one of those weird people who hates to shop in regular stores.  I will just be more careful about the shipping charges and returns.  I shop at Penneys and have it go to the store so I don't have to pay shipping.  The store is not far from me.   I just wish they would change their shipping policy on clothing if nothing else.

I guess I have not paid attention... I ordered the Wander Jacket TSV and returned it because it was a little tight and did not like the color that much.  I returned and asked for an exchange but they did not do it although they had in stock.  They just refunded my money at least a little bit.  THe first installment was 19.49 and they refunded me 7.49.  It cost me 11.93 just to try it on.  They took out the original shipping of 4.98 plus the return shipping of 6.95.  I knew about the 6.98 bit did not realize about the 4.98.  Last order for me.  I cannot afford to pay 12.00 to try an item on.  They say you have 30 days to return it and nothing to lose...What a joke....LIve and learn..

       That recently happened to me as well. I was shocked.  Ordering from QVC anymore will be rare.  Now, I try not to even watch it so that I'm not even tempted.

Be sure to watch your refund amounts if you pay at the post office yourself because someone posted last month they paid themselves and still got charged the $6.95. I posted yesterday this warning in another thread that got poofed. I don't know if the people who got charged the $6.95 left their label attached to their return invoice and an employee scanned it or if their system is doing it. I'm curious to know.

@StraytoStay

That's happened to me too.

I always send back returns on my own dime because it takes waaay too long to get credit using their return label and a couple of times over the years I was charged for the return label and I had to call and give them MY tracking # to prove that I did not use their return label and was eventually reimbursed.

Also, when returning a defective item, many times I was charged the original shipping even though the item was defective and I had to call to get it refunded.

Always check your return amounts!

Yesterday, during the Diamonique gold show, Antonella was saying if you use the twenty dollar easy pay and you don't like it that you get your twenty dollars back and nothing lost. That is such a lie! She didn't say minus the return shipping. New customers will be in for a rude awakening if they believe that. It's really not right she's saying you get stated amount back and lose nothing. I don't remember which item, but it was in her show yesterday.

@StraytoStay

Jayne Brown said it too...these hosts should mention you can return it within 30 days but original shipping will not be returned unless its defective!

On Evine live one of the long time hosts actually told the truth....she said you need  to have your purchase  returned to Evine live by The 30th day....so you really need to give it a week to get there. The host said it was more like a three week(21day) return policy.  I thought how refreshing that a host tells the truth! QVC hosts never do.

@SeaMaiden

That IS refreshing to hear!!! I know Lisa Mason used to be honest with customers too--I heard her tell one customer if she was petite the jacket was not right for her it would be too long, and with the seams even if she had it shortened it wouldn't be right....and another time with jewelry a customer said she had a larger wrist and would the cuff bracelet work for her....Lisa M told her it probably wouldn't work, but there was another bracelet coming up that would be better and it was cheaper too.....You don't hear any of the current QVC hosts say things like that anymore....

She said that on a shoe show.  I messaged her on facebook regarding this issue and never got a reply.  I don't understand why she continues to state that fact. Someone in QVC needs to school her on their return policy. I find that you lose more than you gain. I don't order an item unless I am absolutely sure it will fit. I have been doing shopping in the B&M stores. You don't have to pay shipping and handling and you can try on the item. Kohl's and Target have great sales. I don't need work clothes so I tend to buy casual wear.  I have saved alot of money going to the B&M stores. Also, Kohl's carries petites in shorts and I don't have to hem them. Saves a lot of money for me. Most of the inseams on Q are too long and the cost of hemming adds another $12.00 to an item.

Jayne is one of those that likes to dig her feet into the ground on an issue she feels strong about.....Just like she was the one that lead the crusade on not giving measurements for clothes---she even talked down to a caller that questioned her about it and said they wanted the measurements.  And the measurements aren't even always in the description, sometimes there is no CLICK HERE either!  And that is something that could prevent returns too.....

Re: Just learned lesson about QVC shipping....OMG

@KingstonsMom do you always rip off the top part of the invoice, or do you leave it all when you send back a return? I wonder if the employees are told to scan the label even if not used by the post office? I tear mine up just in case that's the situation, but I haven't returned anything since I've been hearing this happen.

I've had this happen at Amazon, too. Once I paid myself to return, rather than use UPS label and wait for them to come get it. My return went through and received my refund so I threw away myn USPS receipt. Two months later they said they didn't get my returned merchandise and charged me for it all over again! I hate Amazon still for that.

I was referring to Antonella when I wrote about the stating of the refund issue. She keeps repeating it over and over about you need to pay nothing for just trying the item. It is so wrong and I get tired of the misinformation that we get.
