Other than groceries, I need nothing. Still, if I come upon a coffee mug that's just so appealing, I buy it. Yesterday,  was one with a sweet little bird on it. I have holiday mugs, imported mugs, vintage mugs, Edward Gory mugs...enough mugs to serve, "everyone and his brother". They aren't all that expensive, so where's the harm?

 There's no harm at all.

I have handbags running out of my ears but I'm still tempted to buy another. It's okay to treat yourself once in a while.

Re: Just Bought Another...?

[ Edited ]

I collect coffee mugs.  I buy one to celebrate every vacation, every event, every holiday.  Friends and family all bring me interesting mugs to add to my collection.  As long as they bring you joy, keep adding to your collection.  At 6am when I make that first cup of coffee, I smile when I look at my mugs and decide which one I'm going to use.

I do the same. It begins the day with a smile.

@occasionalrain  I love coffee mugs.  I love coffee, tea and hot chocolate so I can never have enough mugs!  I also can never resist a cute, funny, or pretty mug.  I have favorites but I have yet to meet a mug I didn't like.  Probably because I love everything that I put into the mugs lol.  Never feel guilty about a mug.  They hold many wonderful things that can feel like a warm hug when you need one.  Smiley Happy

You're right about that, coffee is my friend, along with tea and hot chocolate. On cold winter days with lots of snow, I have hot chocolate with buttered toast. It takes me back to coming in from sled riding, and warming up with toast and hot chocolate by the fire.

If you find something that brings a smile to your face, go for it.

I keep telling myself that when I purchase yet another lipstick/lip gloss.

I'm going through a hard time, so I spend little to nothing on myself right now.  But I like seeing some little thing that makes me smile.  I like the idea of your birdie mug.  I'm a sukker for stuff with animals on it, so I can relate.  Something like that I'll snag if it speaks to me.
