If you can't keep track of all that money, you don't deserve
Oh come on .... that's not practical. Regardless of the industry, when a person gets to that income earning level, they pay people to do the things they don't have time (or can't) do.
Even if an accountant or business manager comes highly recommended and very ethical, there's no telling that will continue in the future. It's not practical for JD to do his own finances and taxes. A lot of every day creative people can't do it, either.

A Hollywood waiter wrote about working in a 5-star restaurant. Johnny Depp was his favorite customer. He once ordered 2 bottles of wine at $380 each and left a $2,500 tip. He was a gracious customer, besides being generous. The book title begins with "Waiter to the Rich and Shameless . . . " A very good read.

I know, you are right but what ever money you have it's still your responsibility to know where it goes

I loved Johnny Depp in Ed Wood. I take the news of his financial distress with a large grain of salt.
He'll have to cut back his wine consumption, if it is really 35,000 a month, and it should improve his health and assist with longevity. He will have to retrench if he just had a divorce.

I have no idea what you are talking about, since the only thing I have read on this is your thread title. Why don't you tell people what the heck you are talking about by posting some documentation? I haven't a clue and I'm sure a lot of other people don't either.
So maybe I should just make something up: OK - the $400 million is in the Caymon Islands.
Calm down, here's a link one of the hundreds out there..........

ANd I should believe a story posted on a link called "HOllywood Gossip!?
It's just a topic of conversation, nobody is challenging your belief system....

Speaking of Johnny Depp, I see where he is on Ellen today....Or maybe he was already on there and they are running it today-not sure, but I saw it advertised this morning.....She asked him who out of all of his co-stars is the best kisser, and he said Javier Bardem! lol!

Isn't he also in a band called strangely enough the Vampires, or something like that?

@truffle wrote:I can't believe a fifth Pirates of the Carribean is due out later this month. Same cast of characters but this time with Paul McCartney as a jail guard. Sure to be popular with all the kiddies that's for sure. Did he get paid already for doing that movie?
Not sure, some stars take points against the box office gate as opposed to wages up front.......
Sir Alec Guinness, negotiated to take a % of the box office sales of the First Star Wars in 1977 for his role of Obi-Wan Kenobi. All others in the film were unknown so his higher salary and the sales helped to make him a rich man.
All of the major players got points in the films. Mark Hamill is still living off his millions, Carrie put her millions up her nose (she admitted this), and Harrison went on to make many more millions as the most marketable of the bunch.

This is why you don't give someone power of attorney. It may be simpler, but it's still stupid. Oprah Winfrey said years ago that she signed EVERY check for her empire. From bills to payroll, she saw it all.
