DO you think the # of posts shown under the posters nicknames are accurate?  THe reason I am wondering is that some posters show a post account in the mid 5 figures.  IF you use their start date and do some simple math some posters have a average of 5-6 posts a day every single day 365 days a year.  THat seems like such a high number to me.  I do look,at the forums almost every day and I scan the topics in various categories and respond to,some.  Some I just read but if I am not interested or don't feel like I can contribute anything I just pass it by.  I don't think I could even find enough topics to post 5-6 times a day about.

I don't remember the details, @KathyPet, but some posters, like me, kept all or most of their post count when the boards changed.   The majority of posters lost their posting history or a large portion of it.

ETA:  Some of the people with really high counts are probably on the games forum, too.  For some reason, that forum is hidden from view😏

Re: # of posts count accurate?

When we made the big transition from the old boards, all the joined dates and most of the posts were lost.  My original date was the same as everyone who was a member when we had the last new boards... Some date in 2004, I believe.  I lost about 11,000 posts on my count.  I think what you see is accurate as of 3 (?) years ago next month.

This sounds ok to me.  Some people post every day and some don't.  Even you have posted everyday and on some days it has been more than two or three posts.  Just depends on how lively the boards are @KathyPet.

Mine is not accurate, there's no formula involved in my posting habits as I suspect may be the same for most people here......

Same as @Kachina624....I lost all my posts when the board changed so mine indicates much lower than reality.

Re: # of posts count accurate?

I post according to how many threads there are that might interest me on a given day. Some days, not very many and other days fast & furious.

I don't consider 5-6 posts a day as outrageously active or unrealistic. Some people post twice that.

Re: # of posts count accurate?

Both my post count and my registration date are incorrect.

Lost @ 4000 posts with the new system, and first registered in 2006.

No big deal, a curiosity that some changed and some didn't.

My post count is accurate. You might see a slight surge in my number during the weekend.  That generally coincides with my number of glasses of Merlot. 😜

Re: # of posts count accurate?

My post count is accurate. I noticed the total drops one if I delete a post.

Some posters write a lot of one liners and I could easily imagine them writing 10 posts a day, or more.

And we've all seen the compulsive posters, who go to the trouble to write posts like,

'Sorry, I don't know anything about this subject.'
