I was very sorry when I heard this on the radio earlier today. Although she was 81 years old, she was so vibrant and full of life. She will be missed by many, Mellissa and Cooper at the top of the list. I wish them all well.

Larry King is being interviewed on CNN (via phone) and he sounds so broken up.

So sad.

Tragic. She is reunited now with her late husband. Such a senseless and unexpected death which makes it almost unbearable to accept. So sad for Melissa. ((

I agree, Minky, and it was actually hard to believe she was that old.

The end of an era. Another icon.

You know what I think of? She lived her life to the absolute fullest. She left nothing undone or unsaid. People 60 years younger couldn't keep up with her.

Condolences to her family and all who knew and loved her.
