I just started a post titled so much sadness and tears, how about a few jokes. I just wanted to start a conversation about funny things Joan said or did and the discussion got poofed before anyone could reply. I don't know if it was the webmaster or some of you who may have reported this as being inappropriate but I just wanted to get away from all the sadness and remember her for being the great performer that she was. Everyone mourns differently. I'm sure she would have wanted us to remember her by laughing. Sorry that my original wasn't deemed appropriate to whoever.

Well this isn't a joke, but it does speak to the generous person Joan was and should qualify as a "feel good".

Did anyone see the news tonight with Brian Williams? He reported about the doorman in the building across from Joan's apartment. He never met Joan, but one Christmas there was an envelope left for him with $200 in it from Joan.
