I'm glad his friend was there to help him. Wishing him a complete recovery!

I wince in pain just hearing about it. He is in the same burn center near west hills that Anne Heche was in. They are the best. I wish him the best. This is just horrible. Yikes gives me the willies. How painful and scary
my friend is a refinisher. He was out in the mountains here working on refinishing cabinets, and a product by him combusted in flames all by itself. Flames covered him, luckily there was one other workman there. He heard the screams and put fire out. Had to drive to town and meet Emt they took over, and took to hospital. It was awful! he recovered after a couple months. And went home. You can't see scars on face. Only on legs and torso. But he suffers badly FROM PTSD. we feel so bad. The scars from fires are often left badly in the mind

Oh my- If 3rd degree burns, it's no easy recovery- Very painful and that burned skin will never grow normally again- Normal skin structure are parallel fibers but burned skin is randomly structured, becomes very tight and needs to be stretched. Maybe he got a graft? Best wishes.

There is an article on People's website today that says he has burns to face, chest and hands and has already had one surgery this week and will probably have to have another.

Jay Leno's doctor on Wednesday gave an update on the comedian's health during a press conference, revealing, "His injuries are serious, his condition is good."
Leno suffered "significant burns to his face and hands," as well as his chest, while working underneath a car in Burbank, California, on Saturday, Dr. Peter Grossman told reporters.
Since he's been in the hospital, the comedian has undergone one surgery and has another planned later this week. Leno's surgery was a "surgical excision and grafting procedure."
"He did well with that surgery," Grossman updated. "He is in good spirits today."
Initially, Leno suffered "deep second-degree" and possibly third-degree burns in the car fire.
"Burn injuries are progressive and dynamic," he added. "It's hard to predict what the final outcome will be at this stage in the game."
Grossman also expects Leno to make a full recovery.
"Currently, there’s elements of nerve damage. I do anticipate him making a full recovery. Whether there will be remnants of this injury is still way too early to tell."
Grossman said that Leno has been "incredibly kind" while undergoing treatment at the burn unit. “He’s Jay Leno, he’s walking around, he’s cracking jokes. At one point, he passed out cookies to children and has been helping out with other patients. "We're very happy to have him as part of our team," the doctor said.
