Oh, believe me, I totally understand.

Even as a (mostly) easygoing person, I don't get as enraged about anything as much as I do animal and child abuse.

It's a violent abuse of power, and sometimes affected by control and arrogance issues.

Abuse towards the most vulnerable among us (children, animals, adults with any physical or mental challenge, and anyone whose natural authentic self is not accepted by the masses) is the absolute cruelest. 

But the fact remains that not every child and adult has the good fortune and great blessing of overcoming what has happened to them.  

I always wonder why, however, that when people know of something that is totally wrong, they don't ever report it.

It can even be done anonymously, if they feel that doing so will cause immediate danger.

If you see or hear something, say something!

As human beings, we all have that responsibility - and power - to help.

Feline, we don't know if anything happened to him.  What we do know is that not every child who was abused grows up to abuse other children.  It is not a given.

I don't think we know enough to say that.  It seems most psychopaths come into the world that way.  Most, possibly not all.  Some of them become serial killers, not all.

I agree, I think some people DO come into the world that way, There are many families that raise their children the same way and only one will be evil. The brain is a complex organ. Not everyone's is programed the same way.  I do believe some people have evil tendencies from the get go. BUT, NOT AN EXCUSE IN MY BOOK..Get help, it is hard, mental health help is not always readily avail. I understand that, but denial and ignorance is no excuse..AND I believe some just enjoy hurting and demeaning others...It gives them a sick sense of power and importance.

In a court appearance Wednesday in Indianapolis, that lasted less than 15 minutes, Fogle was advised of his rights and placed on home detention. He will be monitored by GPS.

Prosecutors have agreed to seek a sentence no greater than 12½ years. Fogle agreed not to seek a sentence of less than five years. In federal cases, prisoners must serve at least 85% of sentences.

The U.S. attorney's office has scheduled a news conference for 12:30 p.m. to discuss the case.

The plea agreement says Fogle traveled to New York for sex with at least two minors between about 2010 and 2013 at the Plaza Hotel and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The victims were 16 and 17 years old. Fogle repeatedly asked one of the minor victims and "several others" to "provide him with access to minors as young as 14 years" for sex. He told one of the victims, "The younger the girl, the better." Fogle said he would "really make it worth her while if she could find one."

He also offered "numerous prostitutes" — apparently adults — with whom he had sex a finder's fee for access to minors he could pay for sex.

Fogle repeatedly made travel plans to have business trips "coincide with his pursuit of commercial sex acts."

The plea agreement says that on "multiple occasions" between about 2011 and 2015 Fogle received child pornography from Russell C. Taylor, the former executive director of his charity, The Jared Foundation. The unidentified victims in the photos and videos were as young as "approximately six years of age."

Twelve identified victims were in photos and videos taken secretly at Taylor's home. All live in the Southern District of Indiana, which is central Indiana and south. In some cases, Fogle knew the victims' names and where they lived.

Fogle agreed to pay the 14 victims $100,000 each as part of the plea agreement.

A spokesman for Fogle's attorney, Jeremy Margolis, said Margolis will make a brief statement around 11:30 a.m. Fogle will be present, but will not speak, the spokesman said.

In a statement released by attorney James Reed of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP on behalf of Fogle's wife, Katie, she said, "Obviously, I am extremely shocked and disappointed by the recent developments involving Jared. I am in the process of seeking a dissolution of the marriage."

According to the documents, Fogle, 37, faces one count of travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography.

OK, I can't really say what I think of this guy because this is a family friendly board.

However...how in heck did he accumulate $1 million + to pay off his 14 victims?!?!?!?!  Does Subway pay that well?  *I'LL* subsist solely on Subway and lose weight if that's the payout.
