The "news" of his death is going around on FB like it just happened, I saw it on my own timeline.

I really hate that. I always check the date on a story before I pass it on and if there is no date on the piece, I search the keywords to find one that does have a date and share that instead.

these types of postings on facebook seem to happen almost weekly now. someone that has died years ago will all of a sudden have a death article posted by a poster on facebook......and then it takes off and spreads like wildfire.

 

most of the time, if i dont remember the passing, i go to their wikipedia page to see a date of death.
