Re: James Caan Has Died At 82.

My late husband wept freely during Brian's Song, too, Vermint.  It was rare for him to cry, but for emotionally moving scenes, tears would well up in his eyes.  He was moved when people showed genuine love for others.

Re: James Caan Has Died At 82.

I just read on Filmscore Monthly, that he passed. He was sick for awhile. So sad  I met him, a loooong time ago. About 40 yrs ago, while he was filming in the city. He was an absolute sweetheart. When he smiled, he lit up and he made you feel that way. I have met many actors since I live in the city and not all of them are nice! Again, he was special!

Rest In Peace. You will always be in my heart and missed.!🙏😢

@beckyb1012  Good movie. Then again, IMO, he was good in any movie or tv show he did. He did a show called Las Vegas on tv. We still watch that show today.

Another loss of a great actor. 😥

Along with many of the movies and TV shows already mentioned, I loved him in the movie Rollerball as Jonathan E.

Re: James Caan Has Died At 82.

My husband saw that on his cell phone feed and  am so grief stricken by his passing even though I didn't know him personally he was one of my favorites.  I think I fell for him when I first saw him in Brian's Song and then when the The Godfather came out I was totally smitten.  I enjoyed all his films truly unforgettable and I watch them over and over again.

RIP

Re: James Caan Has Died At 82.

Ruminating over the fact that James Caan died 50 years after the release of The Godfather, I wondered during which month in 1972 it was released.  The film was released on March 24, 1972.

While reading about Caan now, I see that he was born on March 26, 1940.  Hmm, that film was truly significant in his life.  Certain similarities (or near matches) of dates and major anniversary dates seem important to me. The 50-year mark is interesting for my associative sort of mind.

I had not heard of this movie.  I just searched it on my Tivo and see  that there are a couple of airings coming up on one cable channel, so will record.  Thanks!  Smiley Happy

I'm another who loves the show 'Las Vegas'.  I only came across it last year when E! was showing it and fell in love with the show.  I still have some of the episodes on my Tivos.

RIP to a great actor.

Las Vegas was good as a TV series and he was also in Honeymoon in Vegas with Nick Cage and Sarah Jessica Parker. But, his role as Piccolo was what drew me in.
