I had a very special dog named Nick. He died in March. Sometimes I called him Nick Nack Paddy Wack, and that's how I came up with NickNack.

My father was a route man for TastyKake. I loved Krimpets (the butterscotch cake treats) and wanted to use that name, but it was taken. So I modified it a bit.

I've been using some variation of China Blue (ChynaBlue, ChynnaBlue) since 1987. It's from a Kathleen Turner movie, Crimes of Passion, which I've never even seen. I liked the character name and borrowed it.

Krimpets icing was my all time FAVORITE. The best was when the excess icing stuck to the wax paper.

When we were little, we could not buy them in NJ so when we visited our Philadelphia area relatives, we went wild. Eventually they did make their way to NJ but the selections were limited.
