JOAN RIVERS'S ART COLLECTION AUCTION

I just read that approximately 280 pieces (or lots)of her art collection and personal jewelry are going to auction at Christie's in NYC this June.

Items will range from $500 to over $200,000 and a portion of the sale will go to Guide Dogs For The Blind.

I'm posting this newsletter link because I know some people will want to check it out ......

Joan had exquisite taste, I am certain her apartment collection is no different!

Re: JOAN RIVERS'S ART COLLECTION AUCTION

I wish I had the funds to bid on something from her magnificent collection, I bet I can find something I'd absolutely love.....  Woman LOL

I followed Kathern Hepburn's auction years ago and fell in love with an old European (I think it was Scandanavian) Wooden chest (coffee table size) she had with original faded paint done in a distinctly Rosemaling style.... OH how I wanted that chest but there was no way......  at least I got to see it!  Woman LOL

I saw that.  I wonder if Melissa is selling Joan's real Fabergé eggs and that Romanian egg necklace or if she'll keep those.  I'll try to remember to look at the offerings.  I'm still sad about Joan's passing, but am happy Melissa is giving proceeds to Joan's favorite charities.  Joan is smiling I'm sure, proud of her daughter.

I'd just like to go to see the auction preview; Joan's collections must have been beautiful.

Re: JOAN RIVERS'S ART COLLECTION AUCTION

I wish I could own one of her fabulous jewelry pieces. She had magnificent taste.

I'd also love to bid on (and win) her beautiful orange Birkin bag, and as long as I'm dreaming, I always loved her hot pink silk Chanel jacket.

She was so stylish and lovely. Look at her in 2013 at the Broadway play, "Kinky Boots."  I still miss her a lot and I'm angry that she died when she had so many more good years left to enjoy.
