@deepwaterdotter, I don't know you, but I'm pretty certain you didn't mean what you're being accused of. I don't know why people are so quick to misunderstand. And I thought it was funny!
Years ago we had a nasty blizzard in February. I was working in a hospital nursery at the time, and in October we had to open up another room for all those babies.

I did not take the original post offensive either. From what I have read Italy seems to going to added lengths than the rest of the globe. They seem to be even suspending mortgage payments on homes during this time.

The 1 outbreak in Europe happened about 2 hours from my hometown.I get updates from friends and family, plus I read what people are saying on the Facebook groups.
I can assure you that nobody is trying to have kids.Hospitals are deciding who is going to live and who can't.
The virus is killing even young and healthy patients. My aunt found out 1 month ago that she has 2 huge tumors.Nothing will be done for months.

That would be their choice, I do believe Italy has birth control.

@deepwaterdotter If it's considered stereotyping, it's justifiable, since Italy is considered to be a 'romantic' country. When I read your post I immediately thought ...

Pipin,
I am saddened your aunt's care will be delayed for several months because of this outbreak of COVID-19. Your more intimate news from Italy is concerning.
My hope is that all Red Zones go white soon, and life can resume some sort of post-virus normalcy. Those with life-threatening illnesses are truly suffering at this time of limiting person-to-person contact and delaying medical treatments.

Why would anyone want to bring a baby into the world with this virus going on? One doctor said it's going to spread throughout the world it's not a matter of if but when. Another doctor said we would be dealing with this until there is a vaccine. We all know that will be several years. We have been averaging just over 4000 cases per day for the past 4 days. It will be interesting to see how that number goes up or down so we can see if it's getting any better or not.

To all - I wasn't offended - at least definitely not consciously. Just thought people are pretty much the same all over. Millie
