I called immigration yesterday and it is what I am saying........but since I have not known about this or talked to my son in over three months he has been dealing with his step mom and dad or his wife has and they were telling me all this information. I have been out of the loop and have done nothing about this or knew anything going on.....my son called me last week for the first time since I left May 11........and he did not even tell me about it then or if he did he said they were trying to get a sponsor.......and the government told me they can have many sponsors to keep her here but his step mom does not want to be responsible for her bills and the baby bills.........and my son is not dependable to keep a job. So get off my back.

Has anybody ACTUALLY consulted a Immigration Attorney or is this all ""hearsay"" from dead beat dad?

You feel sorry for you son? How and why? This is on him. He can get a job and try and support his family. Who is paying the bills ..who is feeding his daughter? Who is clothing his daughter?

You have moved on you said - which is fantastic per se but in all honesty this is not a relationship that stated off with roses and mutual love.

She is not working 80 hours per week now......she went to texas to take a part time temporary job and the teacher came back to the private music school and took the students back......with my DIL having the personality of dry toast and never smiling and not speaking good English her students left her and went back with their regular teacher and my dil does not have enough students.

I think your son isn't doing what is necessary to keep his family intact. IF it were me and I was on the verge of losing my husband and child, I'd move heaven and earth, do whatever it takes even if I was worked to the bone to keep them here. Obviously he's not doing that. It's either he doesn't care or he's lazy and too immature to stand up like a man and do what is expected.

I don't think she "trapped him". She knew he had nothing, still has nothing, and is leaving with their baby. She's not going to get anything from him when she moves out of the country and she and her family have to raise the child themselves.

I am "not on your back". I am praising the DIL for being intelligent and responsible and doing what is best for HER family. How is that being "on your back"?

Sponsors are ONLY responsible for paying for things if she cannot pay for it herself. Since she is already paying for these things and is the only one with a job, it seems to me just another excuse from the family.
