@beach-mom  The PBJ was a B25. Used by the Navy. If he was an Army pilot, this would have been a different group entirely. How interesting that people go about locating lost airmen and crews. What an honor it must be to find one and reunite personal belongings with families. Thanks for posting so much information.

 

Everyone on this thread is so kind and knowledgeable, sharing information with the rest of us. I really appreciate everyone's contributions here.


@KLm - ITA! DH's uncle was in the Army Air Corps. We have a picture of him from high school. He definitely resembled my late father-in-law.
