I hate this %&$@#*& winter. We are getting yet another 3 to 6 inches of snow tonight.
The noon weather guy said there is another system next Monday into next Tuesday, and then another at the end of next week.
Forget any virus keeping me inside , going to my car is a gamble because what snow we have melts some and then refreezes, then we get more on top of it. It has been plowed and shoveled but it keeps coming. It is not conducive to walking with a cane.
I don't like winter to begin with but the last couple months have been the worst.
It is to be sunny and a balmy 35 degrees Sunday, I'm going to have DD spot me as I go to the car and get out and about. I don't care if I just drive to Dunkin for coffee.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 - Hang in there. Before you know it, you'll be complaining about the heat.

I don't complain about the weather because there is nothing that I can do about it. My thoughts right now are with the millions of people without power who are suffering in our country.

Weekly snow storms (without fail) usually 6" of snow with a layer of ice over it. Then it melts, repeats, melts, repeats. etc.

We used to call it "cabin fever" around this time in February. Today, where I live, it is cold, but sunny and no new snow. So, I drove to a grocery store. I bought a few needed items. Then, I bought a banana cake, cherry-filled cookies and a Pepperidge Farm package of cookies that is oatmeal with chocolate chips! Maybe I should have just stayed home!

Although cold, the sun is out today. I did my errands this morning as I can't stand to be cooped up in my house for days on end. Much as I love my home, it gets small and claustrophobic in this kind of weather. Would have grabbed some lunch out, but I am observing Ash Wednesday fast.

It is currently 45° and sunny where I live.
I live in California.

Even as an RD, I understand your "sugary' attitude🙋♀️

So many in Texas are without power for 4 days. Pipes are freezing and we are being told to boil water with no electricity to boil it. My son is cooking on a campfire in the backyard in the snow.

I usually love winter....not this time as we have not had power since last Saturday am. Heat pump wont work on generator, no cooking, no laundry...etc etc. If we get through tonites ice storm without a tree falling on the house I will be grateful. It honestly looks like a bomb was dropped here.Having been in the Army 10 years and living in a tent to being homeless and orphaned as a child.....maybe because I was younger then and not hospice patient....did much better back then. If I just had heat I would be grateful. Is 30 degrees outside and 40 degrees inside the house right now.
