Re: Is this any way to run a business?

@spent2much   I am on auto-delivery for the chicken and we love it.  Considering the money I would have to spend on ingredients to bread it and using the oil to fry it, and the time, I think for me it's a good buy.  It's delicious and nice and crispy.  I also leave mine in about 15 min. more.

The point I was trying to make was that it took them almost 2 months to ship it to me.  They never notified me that the order would be delayed.  No, it's not their fault that I forgot about it.  But it's their fault that it took 2 months to deliver it.

And what exactly did QVC do "wrong"?

It's not their fault that you forgot that you ordered it.

No, of course not.  But it's their fault that it took 2 months to deliver it... without any notice that delivery would be delayed.

Was it to be delivered immediately or sent at a later date.

If delivered immediately, were you put on waitlist?  Maybe, since you forgot about it, you didn't notice.

Otherwise, yes, receiving an order two months later doesn't look good.

No, I would have noticed if they had sent me notification that it would be delayed, or that it was put on waitlist.

You ordered it on April 15? It took almost two months for delivery?

@spent2much It's possible that the supplier was not able to process orders because of restrictions in whatever state they operate in.  You're right that it would have been nice for QVC or the vendor to let you know about the delay.  Hopefully you will enjoy it!

Re: Is this any way to run a business?

I always scroll through my orders to check status, delivery dates, and so forth.

I want to know where my money goes so I monitor all my purchases and note potential return dates.

The only time I ever "forget" about an order is if it is a waitlist.

It sounds like the QVC business runs well since they did not forget to ship the chicken to you, even if you forgot about the order!

Under normal circumstances, I might agree with you.  But these are not normal times, and a lot of deliveries from many retailers have been delayed.   I've pretty much come to expect that anything I order from anywhere might take quite awhile to get to me.  So I really don't see this as QVC's fault or a terrible way to run a business.  Yes, they should have notified you, but you did order it.  And they sent it.  So they kept up their side of the bargain.   It's really up to us to keep track of what we order.

I hope you're happy with it when it arrives!  Sometimes surprises can be good.  :-)
