@lovesrecess, healthful eating, IMO, means moderation rather than excluding a whole food group such as carbs. Even those who need to keep their carb intake under control still can chose from complex carbs.

And vegetables and fruits.  They are mostly carbs.

Only the "carnivore" diet people think that vegetables are horrible things.

I don't ,many of the vegs that spike my sugar ,I love. It is really hard to pick and choose everyday ,what you can eat and what you can't. It has nothing to do with what you like or want

I don't eat it.  But my feeling is,people have been eating since the beginning of time. Its fine in moderation..  I would definatley eat kosher so you know it was killed decently, I would eat small farm, local and find out what the brand you are eating feeds its cows, pigs, etc.

i feel there is no harm in a a little of everything in moderation as long as it is not char broiled to a crisp and full of nitrates

I got concerned because it would seem there is now confusion. So I reached out to an expert doctor friend.  This is his specialty among others and his bottom line was don't believe in the new exhoneration of eating meat.  Of course I haven't eaten meat in over 30 years but this new so called information made  me uneasy as I do think it was tainted in some way.

“..scientist...failed to disclose...”

Well, of course he did. Because this report is highly flawed.

Just a matter of time before it’s retracted completely.

The only thing we can be certain of is death.

That’s true....but it’s the quality of life while you get to death.

Many people just ‘die longer’ than others...and diet plays a huge part

of the immobility, doctor’s appointments, surgeries, fatigue,

just not feeling good...etc, which many, many people experience

later in life thinking it’s ‘normal.’

It’s not.

I’m glad this clickbait report was exposed by many physicians and

researchers....especially Dr. Neal Barnard, PCRM, leading the charge.
