Living in the Southwest Desert, I can only dream of being cold. I won't be able to wear long sleeved anything until late October, if then. The only place I've been this summer that I notice as being on the cool side is my Costco. Bless them! The restaurants I've been to here since June were definitely not cold.
The best way to even feel slightly cool is to go outside for a few minutes, and then it always feels cooler back indoors. Sometimes I open the freezer door (top, on my fridge) and just stick my head in for half a minute. Doesn't help the frozen food but it feels so good!
Sweaters or jackets? I wish...

Just the opposite.

Thought the theater was cool when we saw the Indiana Jones movies. I like it on the cooler side when eating.

My son and daughter-in-law are always-hot people. I'm always cold. I have to bring a sweater to their house, and they need to wear removable layers to come to mine.

I'm never cold in stores or anywhere else. One brutal day last week I was grocery shopping and saw two women wearing fleece jackets outside.
My 80 something year old coworker has no AC in her house, not even a single window unit. She says she hates it and is always cold. She wears a jacket at the front desk. She seemed bewildered when I told her I wasn't cold at the desk.
sounds like my mom......81 years old and keeps the house at 78 and she is usually wearing a sweater. i told her if you want me to come here i have to have it at lower than 74 at the very least or i will melt. lol
78 is NOT air conditioning.
we just had a fight about this yesterday. she complained that i put it down too low. i told her to grab a sweater or change into a turtleneck. i said to her i cannot take off anymore clothing because you wont want to see me running around naked and even being naked wont make me any cooler.

Grocery stores are quite cold in certain areas, restaurants can be a little chilly, but I never need a sweater. I am almost always too warm...We have a lot of elderly in our church, so it is never too cold....

I live in Maine and find some restaurants's are kept too cold for me in the summer, especially if I'm sitting under an AC vent. I always bring a sweater just in case the restaurant is chilly.

Most restaurants are not that cold. What I do find freezing are some isles in the supermarket!

I will never move to the southern part of the country. The kids, hubby and I would go for a quick dip in the ocean in May here in Maine. So the affor mentioned establishments are fine with the AC on.
@Rockycoast funny i used to live in NH and would go in swimming in North Hampton in May. best time of year for waves. drove all the way back to Stratham w the heat going full blast.
I"m in the So. Maine area. Yesterday the water temp was 70 degrees. Yuck! Bathwater. I may have to move midcoast!
