What annoys me are those 'Go Fund Me' postings on local neighborhood sites, usually exposed by other posters as frauds or those unwilling to get a job!  LOL

@Ronettes , it really gets to be too much.  My very favorite was a local kid who started a go fund me when he graduated from high school for a trip to Europe because he deserved and it and it would be the right thing to do for the community to send him.  lol

I would NEVER contribute to a "Go Fund Me" request unless I personally knew the person.  An easy pass for me.

I use pop up blockers, too.

The only subscription I have is Sirius in my vehicle. I buy music cd's and movie dvd's.

LOL, I like the ones who are exposed by other posters who ask them, now that this is their tenth go fund me, when are they getting a job, ever?

No problems with internet - I guess it's because I use the pop-up blockers and clear the browsing history once or twice a week.

However, I'm getting inundated with requests for money/donations at work.  Every week, there's a new baby, wedding, funeral, graduation, birthday, buy a gift card to show your appreciatiation for _____, buy ______ to support a child's team/club, or . . .

@1tuffcookie

Just curious ... what do you do?   I've been self-employed for years, but remember the PITA it was when everyone was always asking for a contribution in the office.  SO annoying! How do you handle it?

Yep, I remember all of that.  So annoying.  When I found my backbone, I told them I was working to support my family not their causes.  If they wanted to reciprocate they could help pay my child's college education.  They shut up.

IDK if you're talking about NextDoor, but I was once given a 30 day 'time out', so don't bother w/ that site anymore.

My comment was regarding gofundme, & it wasn't heinous at all.

The request was from a woman who'd been renting a casita to live in (a small house behind a house) with her kids and her mother.

As time passed, the owner, along w/ many neighbors, decided to sell the property to a developer.

This infuriated the renter 'The owner is a greedy landlord and just wants to make money. I'm not moving.'

The renter complained that now, month after month after month, she can no longer relax during the day w/ all the construction noise going on all about her, and the dust wasn't good for her kids or her mom.

So she set up a gofundme requesting $10,000 so the family could move to a real nice place.

Smiley LOL

@sabatini , I want to know what your comment was!   lol

People are unreal but they must make money at it because they keep it up.  I know a woman who posts go fund mes regularly for everybody under the sun.  She announced it was her grandson's bd and how he would love if everybody sent him a little something so here's his venmo.  I. kid. you. not.

I left NextDoor within a week and never went back. Nothing but people complaining about anything and everything. No thanks.

Call me superstitious...

A few minutes ago I went to my YouTube music account and there all over the place was the song I was looking for...

Hall & Oates "Every time you go away"

the version I liked came up lots on a couple of my playlists in the past and then a few days ago it was nowhere to be found.

My threats to switch music services WAS NOTICED!

BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING LOL
