STEAKS AS A GIFT - WHERE IS THE BEST

[ Edited ]

place to order from?

Omaha Steaks seemed to be the winner here.  What are their sides like?  Their chicken breasts like?  They have a combo package that I am considering.

TIA

I'm not a big Omaha steaks fan--seems like their meats, especially the burgers,  are  way to greasy for me. Had a few boxes with asst other things in it and its all too salty, like the hot dogs or the baked spuds---really,  I've been getting salmon and burgers from Rastellis here on the Q---really good flavor and quality.

Omaha Steaks.

They'll have OK sales online, but once you get on their direct mail list, that's where their best deals are.

I'd probably order from Costco, if I were to give such a gift and sending it.  If delivered in person, I'd go to my local butcher and have them make a nice platter for me.  Many years ago, some friends helped us move. They wouldn't accept a cash gift so we gave them a steak platter like that and they loved it.

Re: STEAKS AS A GIFT - WHERE IS THE BEST

I was considering this as a gift for my son in law  His birthday is in December.  He grills out alot and actually does most of the cooking.  They live in a warm climate so grilling is pretty much a year round thing.

I would have to have it delivered because they live a couple states away.

I appreciate all the suggestions.

@tends2dogs I think that is a good idea and I may steal it. My son's birthday is in January,  and after racking my brain for Christmas gift ideas, it's hard to come up with more a few weeks later.  He loves to BBQ too.
