So, is everyone getting inundated with entities having outstretched hands to want your money like I am?

It must be the time of year, but it as if EVERYBODY finally figured out how to use technology to maximize their dollars coming in!

Having trouble finding out local and National news because of banners, etc. Each place with a news storybwsnts you to click here/click there and when you finally get to the news story... you can't actually read it due yo all of the MILLIONS of pop-ups!

Have an item on subscription? "We already have access to your cc so we'll just send it out early to you".  No thank you

Then my searches are really all messed up. I have bookmarked favorite pages and the internet acts like it forgot.

Same with my Youtube music!
"Oh, you "liked" THAT version of the song?" No, we're not going to make that version available to you right now.

So, I'd rather visit a movie channel and just pay to watch something. And I may switch music providers, too!

@LTT1,  are you familiar with ad blockers/pop-up blockers?

Do you routinely clear cookies from your browser?

Do you routinely scan for malware?

Do you click on any of the ads or pop-ups?  If so they are like a mouse mated with a cat and produced hundreds of off spring and 24 hours later they are all reproducing again.

A lot of news and magazine  sites are now behind paywalls since they don't make money on print editions any longer.  They need to stay in business somehow.

Also adding, as Marp asked, do you clear your history and cache frequently?  If so, that's why the internet forgot you.

No problems with internet - I guess it's because I use the pop-up blockers and clear the browsing history once or twice a week. 

However, I'm getting inundated with requests for money/donations at work.  Every week, there's a new baby, wedding, funeral, graduation, birthday, buy a gift card to show your appreciatiation for _____, buy ______ to support a child's team/club, or . . .

For the most part, I am not too bothered by ads and things.  I just ignore them.  However, the increasing use of pop-ups is somewhat annoying, especially on QVC.  Dudes, if I wanted to watch, I would watch.  If I wanted to use the app, I would, No, I'm not still searching for XYZ, so could you please stop asking me that?

It's sad and criminal on how things are today.  I've noticed you post your pic on a public forum - no crime in that but how do you know that everyone here is a female or honest about their takes and sharing?  There are weirdos, kooks, and serial criminals everywhere.  Once you give out your personal info or any info at all, it's sold and resold and you will get spammed, guaranteed.

What annoys me are those 'Go Fund Me' postings on local neighborhood sites, usually exposed by other posters as frauds or those unwilling to get a job!  LOL

@Ronettes , it really gets to be too much.  My very favorite was a local kid who started a go fund me when he graduated from high school for a trip to Europe because he deserved and it and it would be the right thing to do for the community to send him.  lol
