I'm curious as to what you would do under the same situation.  What do you think she should be doing while riding out the storm?  I've had to ride out tornado warnings and the first thing I grab are my purse and phone, then sit in the basement.  Until the warnings pass, I text with my kids to make sure everyone is safe. Texting and being online helps to keep your nerves in check under such a stressful time.

Posting on here would be my last concern I might post on FB, I guess people have different priorities the QBB is surely not one of them

Yes, we are all different on how we deal with storms.  It may be comforting to message with others.

For me, if I heard something hit against my bedroom wall,I would not be tapping away on a computer.

Sorry, but I'm not understanding what difference it makes where someone posts.  If posting here or anywhere else helps someone, then that's all that matters.  I would not judge someone for that, nor would I assume that they haven't posted elsewhere.
