There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

If they only omitted the word happy, because it's not.

ITA.  I slumped in my chair when I saw it.  Aren't there at least a zillion posts, articles, blogs & other news reports on social media just about that subject?  The dumbing down of Memorial Day with the word 'Happy'?

And of the bazillion images on the interweb showing an American Flag & Memorial Day...why pick the one with 'Happy'?

Unless it was deliberate.

The day will close out in several hours & the Memorial Day 'confusion' will be put to rest for another year.   Maybe, hopefully, the Public will be educated 365 days from now & the words 'happy' & 'Memorial Day' will never be used again in the same breath. I can only hope.

(...and if you look closely at that meme, the American flag is tattered. 😳)
