I was disappointed that the thread about Ukraine was taken down.  If some are pushing the limits in such a thread, why not just take the offending posts out and keep the thread alive?

Ukraine is a tragedy that has rightly grabbed the attention of the entire world.  So far, at least 650,000 has fled the country.  This is the biggest humanitarian disaster since WWII.  It is too bad that QVC cannot acknowledge this in writing and perhaps suggest various organizations that are actively helping the many in need.  This is not at all political.  It is pro-humanity.

@PamfromCT    I think the problem is when some take a comment and turn it political which does happen.  Some people look for any excuse to inject politics into any subject.

Thank you, @riley1@luvzchiz, and @qualitygal.❤️

Re: Important Topics

[ Edited ]

I do acknowledge and appreciate the opinions of other people.  However, I find it distressing that certain posters are allowed to disrupt a positive thread.  There is presently a thread asking for prayers for a sick child.  I hope that does not get hijacked.

And I have called Corporate this morning and asked that they even run a banner asking for support for the people of Ukraine.  I believe in the power of good thoughts or prayers, particularly in a situation that has been called the largest tragedy in Europe since WWII.  And perhaps some suggestions for a few charities might help.

Of course, I knew this would open me to criticism. Ask me if I am surprised or if I care.  No, not surprised.  No, I do not care.

The person from Corporate and I had a good conversation, and perhaps something positive can come from this.  She was respectful, and I think she did appreciate my thoughts.

This is not just a shopping channel discussion board.  Presumably we are all of a certain age, so I think we can figure out what we want to read and respond to. Both boards are over moderated. Proboards might let it go on a little longer, but it locks threads all of the time.

Yes, threads get locked at the PB forum primarily for the same reason threads and posts get deleted here--posters, not the subject.

@manny2, Thank you for your post.  Of course, I expected to be reminded of my violations by some.  I guess part of our volunteer community guidelines task force, LOL.

I am disappointed that I had to prod QVC to do what I consider the right thing.  It will be reflected in where I shop in the future.

I will always MAKE GOOD TROUBLE.

Keep posting @PamfromCT I don't care about criticism either. We are not here to please other posters. I am impressed you took the time to contact corporate. I'm sure you gave them something to think about.
