.....and I hope you would return what didn't belong to you.  Consider that often cashiers and other service providers, have to make up the difference when there are descrepencies when they cash out!

I thought it was funny and that she could not believe how low the prices were.  I did not associate it with anything negative.

It wasn't meant to be what some people, including you, are reading into it. 

Time to lighten up!  Since Ikea ran this ad, I'm sure they're not dinging their cashiers for being "short".
