free2be, how enterprising of you to hike in there. That sounds haunting-- the shards of pottery and corn-cobs strewn about-- you have created great word-pictures and conveyed the 'eerieness" of a whole culture, interrupted....
I also find them interesting, along with you and SilleeMee, and it's clear why she used the word "mysterious"...

At work we got into a discussion of how much of the technology in the 1960's cartoon of the Jetsons have come to fruition.......but one thing I'm glad that hasn't is FLYING CARS some people cant drive on roads as it is and I dont want to have to battle crazy drivers on land and also in the sky...WHEW!!!
But as far a adpting to actual changing conditionswe havent done that very well...JMHO!

@Spurt companies are working on flying cars so we might see this come true as well. Drones have been dangerous in some instances so I agree about flying cars. Could be disastrous.

You right those drones ARE dangerous!!!! OH NO-- Flying Cars!!!!----its bad enough they are working on driverless cars on land.....
