For a while I have had my eye on a lovely jacket but it was rather pricey. Now it is on sale at a good price and I really would like to buy it - BUT somehow I am hesitating about the safety of ordering in these uncertain times.
I would really like to hear how other posters are feeling about this.
Many thanks - and stay safe.

Hi @Fona Since the outbreak I've ordered things online and so far haven't gotten sick. To be honest, I hit the packaging with a clorox wipe and let it dry.

@Fona If it were something that I really wanted and could afford then I wouldn't hesitate to buy.
Just sanitize the package when it arrives. If you can leave it outdoors for a while before bringing it into your home I would do that too.

I've been opening packages outside. Put packaging, boxes, etc. directly into garbage and take contents inside. Then I wash my hands.

I have also ordered a few things since the crisis. No issues. I am extra diligent about disposing of the packaging right away and washing my hands.

I actually ordered food from a small company since I didn't want to make the trip to Whole Foods. That was two weeks ago and I am still here and okay.

I've been ordering a few things. I made a disinfectant spray: 1tsp bleach to 1 cup water and filled spray bottle. We are spraying mail and packages and everything that comes in. And after touching, wash your hands. You can also leave things untouched for several days and the virus dies.

@Fona Wipe the package down when it arrives, open your package. Don't touch your face, or anything else. Wash your hands and enjoy your purchase!

I would order the jacket. When you get it home, you can steam it lightly. Throw the package out and wash your hands and I think you should be fine.

@FonaIf your hesitation is mainly that you fear the package carrying in infection, I'd tell you to order. I'm assuming you know where the jacket has "lived" in the last several months. It doesn't sound as if it's a new import.
If your hesitation has to do with other factors, that's a whole different story.
