No, they said other users would not be able to see our email addresses and we can't.

 

But having it show up labelled "public", what kind of an idiot thought that was a good idea?

It seems to be set with a default of having it NOT show.

I found it helpful to go onto 'Preferences' (on the left under 'Quick Links') and change some things. I didn't understand all the settings but most of them are pretty straight-forward.
