Really, this is something U admire at 66 years old?
03-26-2017 09:17 PM
Yep!!! I don't know of many people who can do that much less at 66!! It's hard to do and yep I want to learn how to do this!!
the routine she was doing on the MSN link was so pretty and so graceful.
Some people want to learn to tap dance, I want to pole dance!

Speaking of tap dance, my dance instructor's mother, who is in her 80's, still taps and still teaches tap!

Out of curiosity, where do you buy a pole?
In small town USA it would spread like wild fire. Hey! Did you know Jane Doe has a stripper pole. Not in a good way.
My core is going to have to suffer. But good for her.

@marchingalong123, what's not to admire? She's 66 years old and fit as a fiddle. Most important, she is active, to put it mildly.
If you're thinking that pole dancing is somehow tainted, think again. It's a wonderful exercise.

Dancing and flexibility keeps you young! I did tap, ballet, jazz, and pointe as a kid and all the way thru college. A few years ago, I did belly dancing classes. Most of the women were skinnier and younger than me, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the class.

There is a studio in my city that has pole dance classes. The women who take those classes are women with backgrounds in gymnastics and dance for the mostpart. It is a very athletic pursuit and a very serious one. None of them are training to be strippers.
It's an art.
