Hi, @Suziepeach!  I haven't seen you around lately -- hope you're well.Heart

In what way are you prompted to login to Facebook?

Hi @dooBdoo, I'm doing just fine- thank you for asking... Hope you're well too...  I get prompted to log onto Facebook when I visit Facebook pages.... there's my nic and password.. all I'd have to do is click go and I'm back with Facebook..  and I clearly permanently deleted my Facebook account...

Great to hear you're doing well!Smiley

What you see if you go to Facebook is your browser trying to fill in the user ID (email address) and password saved in the past when you did use Facebook.  That data is not saved by Facebook and isn't actually associated with your account until you hit the "return" or "submit" or "login."  After you submit it, Facebook's software "looks" at your login info and determines if it's valid or not.    The saved login info is associated with your browser/device.  If you do use them to login, and the login is accepted and you see an account, that means you didn't actually delete the account.  Please, trust me.  When the steps are followed, all the information is erased in a short period of time and is not accessible to you or your friends no matter what login info is used.

I get ads too but not bad ads. However, I do agree FB is getting old. If it weren't for the games and seeing my long distance relatives news and pictures, I would probably delete it.

FB can never be permanently deleted, ever.

Hi, @missy1.   Yes, we can delete our accounts permanently.  As explained earlier in the thread, what we add to Facebook does go into their archives and would be accessible only in extreme circumstances and only could be accessed by Facebook IT stafff with the express direction of officials.  But if we follow the steps to properly delete our own account, it goes away and none of it is available to us or to any other users.

I was saying all your info is archived. (It is not erased, like some think)  I wasn't talking about the former member or other users.
