I know in the big scheme of things this is minor, but it still is bugging me.
I purchased a new refrigerator and wanted them to put the handle on the right side. Well, of course, when it was delivered, the handle was on the left side. The kit for switching the handle was delivered with the refrigerator. But, the delivery people said they did not know how to reverse the handle and they would put a work order in.
I waited and waited and waited. No one called to set up a time to switch the handle, so I called. A work order had never been put in. Eventually someone came and reversed the handle. After they left, I noticed he had put the handle right over a sticker!!! I can't get the sticker off without some of it still showing, and I certainly don't want to try to get the handle off, as I am afraid of scratching the surface trying to get the hidden screw out.
Any ideas of how to get this sticker off enough so it can't be seen? Would wetting it enable me to get enough off that it couldn't be seen?
I have thought of calling and complaining and having them come out, but this seems like such a minor matter. Why can't people do a good job the first time? I would think he would have noticed he was putting the handle over the sticker.

Use Goo Gone on the sticker and a flat plastic edge (like a credit card) to scratch it off. Or try blasting the sticker with a hair dryer until you can peel it off.

I'd ask them to come back and remove / replace the handle so you could remove the sticker. Tell them you know it's not major, but it's irritating and the installer should have known better. If the retailer is customer-oriented, it will do as you wish - and perhaps have a word with the person who delivered your fridge.
It can be very tiring these days trying to get good customer service.

@wismiss It's scary how people with common sense are in shorter and shorter supply these days. I agree that just doing warm water or they do make specific products to remove stickers and scraping will probably solve your problem.

You can soak it off and do it using dish soap or alcohol. However I don't think you should. I know it is a pain for you to deal with but I feel like you should call them back and have them come and take care of the problem. We have gotten to the point of just letting ourselves accept poor customer service and that is why it is beginning to not exist. When you pay for something it should be to your satisfaction and you should never feel guilty about that. Now it can be done in a nice manner but companies really do need to be held liable for their actions.

Yours is a good lesson to buyers of refrigerators......having bought my share (and then some) of new refrigerators for rental property.....I've learned to tell the store I need a left-hand or right-hand hinge and want it that way before they deliver. Also - be clear about your choice of wire or glass shelves & freezer on the top or bottom.
Truck delivery guys usually don't know how to change door swing.

Spray some WD40 on the sticker and let it set for a while. It should peel right off and it will take the sticky off too.
I have learned to watch every move any kind of workers that come into my home make. I dont trust them.

Goo Be Gone works great

Goo Gone is good stuff, but I wouldn't fault you if you called them out again. It's hard to find good delivery workers. I tip even when they do just their job because at least they are out there working.
