Augmentin is an antibiotic that our family has taken for years and years and therefore no longer works for ear infections for us. 

Several antibiotics have made me dizzy in the past (Levaquin) but the second time around did not.

Biaxin leaves me with D two long weeks after the dose is finished (on my chart now). Sulfa drugs make my throat close up.

 

The worst issue from taking 1/2 doses without the MD OK is that you risk causing yourself a remaining infection that is resistant to that antibiotic.

Hope you so well on Cipro.  

 

I can use it in IV form (had 18 days of it) but can't tolerate the pills.  Weird, Ok, I"ll buy that.  

 

I have had reactions to fillers and preservatives in several pills; especially OTC medicines.

I know   that you HAVE talked to your doctor, and he has put you on Cipro.

 

I hope that it is working for you. :-)
