I found my perfect apple!

It's called a PACIFIC ROSE. Crisp, firm, juicy sweet flesh that has a thin skin for easy eating. I had never seen these before last week and now I'm hooked. These are absolutely delicious!!

What's your favorite apple? Do you have more than one kind?

My favorite apples are a very hard, tart apple, a Granny Smith is one of them. The only apples I don't care for is a "soft" apple, which sometimes can be a Rome or McIntosh.

For too long, I always demanded every apple be perfect, w/o a bruise or a mark. I've relented and don't expect perfection: a bruise doesn't mean it's a rotten apple.

About a year ago I discovered Ambrosia apples and have been buying them exclusively since. I just love the taste and they are not rock hard like some others. I personally don't like a really crisp apple. They stay fresh for a long time and make such a good snack food that keeps me full for a few hours. I do wonder though why apples have become so expensive.
