@Lisa Y @Congratulations! I retired at the end of 2022 after more than 42 years in the same place and I have had all of the exact same emotions. It's hard and also exciting! But I have to say, being my own free agent - there's nothing like it.

Enjoy! You've earned it!

Enjoy your retirement!!

You will find more things to do, and clean out, rearrange and so on and so forth.

Congratulations!  What an accomplishment - teaching elementary children & watching them grow.

I retired in 2019 as secretary to the Principal in a high school.  I loved working in a school environment.  I actually sub in the school offices where I now live.  It's in my blood!

Best wishes on your next adventure!

Congratulations on a job well done.  You deserve some retiree time to relax and sleep until noon, if you wish.

My younger sister retired last summer from teaching special education students....troubled girls.  It took her a while for it to sink in, but she did it.

I admire teachers, especially in today's world.  It is a difficult job.  Thank you for your years of service to our nations children.

Not saying you should, but if you miss the little kids next fall, put in to be a substitute. We're desperately in need of them.

I sure hope you have plenty of money in your retirement account(s) because there's a possibility Social Security and Medicare won't be available for a while. Sorry to be a wet blanket but you need to be prepared, just in case (I'm coping with this right now).

In any case, congratulations on a satisfying career and I hope you have a wonderful retirement; you've certainly earned it.
