@cheriere   Thank you so very much for your caring response and such kind words, Cheriere! I'm very grateful that you're there for me and I hope that you had a fun day yesterday after your appointment. I think in this case, I'll never get answers to my questions.  A family friend's son who is my age with an equally excellent background and morals applied to be a cop and was let go at the same point that I was and told to reapply and just like me, he's at a loss and confused as to why he didn't get selected.  He didn't want to wait 2 years without advancing in his life and now he's working PR for a company and really thriving, so I have hope that I will find a good career and continue on.   My family friend who is a retired background investigator said that sometimes people can be a great choice and they're cut from the selection process because other people are chosen -I'll never know. Thank you very much for rooting for me and supporting me!

Most if the time, police politics play a HUGE role like in other places.  I'll bet they already know who they planned to hire.  However, because they technically have to list opportunities, they do so knowing all along it isn't going to matter how qualified a person may be.

Please don't let this bring you down...I know that's easier said than done.  But this is IN NO WAY a reflection of how DESERVING you are to be a police officer!

I know you'll find what you love to do.  You're great at so many things, I wish I were so lucky.  Give yourself some time and it will come, I promise.❤️

Oh, yesterday was a bad day at the dr.  We'll talk more about that junk later.  This post is about YOU and I'm here for Ya!❤️

@SportyShorty07   The one career all of us agree you would be great at is letter writing.

For over 30 years there have been communications companies who create pre-written responses to any possible customer questions or comments.

It's a shame that's one job that is rapidly being taken over by AI computer programs. You would have been promoted to vice-president within a month.

@cheriere   Thank you so much for your kind words! I read an article that recruiters are looking at college athletes and finding people all over America to join the academies so if there's heavy recruitment, people could've already had top spots chosen for them. I'll never know answers to my questions, but I think that there are going to be some great new academy attendees this year and for many years to come.  I think that in losing me, I take comfort in knowing that they gained great recruits- I think that whoever made the cut will have beaten the odds and will do very well.

You have so many gifts and you're very smart and stylish, clever and kind.  I'm rooting for you in whatever you do and I am here tor you too for whatever you need. Heart

@PickyPicky3  Thank you so much, such a sweet thing to say! You know, I knew that even if I was hurt by the news and very sad- that all of those who chose to respond and build me up and support me on here deserved responses from my heart and I am grateful, so thankful for the outpouring of love and support from everyone!  Moments of sadness and pain- a low in my life from hearing the news  have turned into feelings of hope, empowerment, gratitude, genuine joy and renewed faith.

This QVC community is a gift to me- I have told my family about the messages everyone has written and they are so very thankful for everyone's support too.  I am an old school girl- I write letters in the mail and thank you notes in my best cursive and I think that in modern day use of AI and robots creating written sentiments, the human touch and heartelt words and thanks will always prevail !  Thank you very much for your support! Smiley Happy

I've been thinking about this......Maybe the Universe wants to keep you safe........

Think of this 'setback' is a positive, safe thing for you in the long run.

The best of luck and safety to you.  Heart

@ROMARY  Thank you very much for thinking of me!  I think you could be right- maybe this is the Universe and a higher power trying to keep me safe.  I think this setback could be a positive and I'm really glad that I gave this a shot. Thank you very much, Romary

@SportyShorty07 - yes, the experience was quite rewarding & fulfilling on the Mercy Ship. Meals on Wheels is an excellent organization & vital to people but not too creative as far as cooking or well paying. You have a love of fitness & cooking & sounds like you might be very qualified as a Fitness Physiologist and maybe extend a practice to include nutrition & healthy cooking/eating. It’s not too costly to get degrees in those disciplines & demand is pretty high for lifestyle coaches & you’d be doing what you enjoy. Just a thought

@SportyShorty07 - What you need to do is apply for a spot as an "Expert" on MAFS.

Just kidding, my Friend.
