I have lived in Arizona 29 years and have never seen a Javelina in the wild. My neighbor had some in her driveway but I didn't see them. I would really like to see one that isn't in a zoo or wildlife park!

I have seen a coyote chasing a roadrunner,though. LOL

They roam free around where I live.

People stay away from them. Only the babies are cute, trust me.

They can tear up your plants in no time at all.

I have to ask, are they dangerous to humans as in will they attack?

I've never seen one (javelina?), but the thoughts of bobcats and bears terrify me. The only thing we have to worry about is sharks. And if you stay out of the water, you have nothing to worry about.

@Lucky Charm Javelinas for the most part want nothing to do with people, unless you are walking a dog, then be prudent and give them a wide berth. They associate dogs with coyotes, their natural predator, and will go on the defensive especially if they have babies around. They will tear up your yard and eat up your plants.
