@Nonametoday   Yeah I realize all that, everyone probably does.  Question was what would you bring back and the low cost of housing was my vote.  Didn't over think a simple question

Affordable housing is disappearing.  With corporations buying up houses and renting them out at prices in the stratosphere, my concern is for those who are struggling as it is to pay rent.

We (most of us) are affected by the current gas prices but those low prices in B are so unrealistic as to supply the current population on this planet with consumer goods.

The used car price is not important, imo.

And a buffet is not an essential item.

A.   Choosing B would increase the number of cars on the road resulting in damage to the environment, increase in the number of accidents and fatalities. While I don't enjoy paying over five dollars for gas, I like that people are giving thought to reducing their driving.

Definitely A. Affordable housing important. Today you need six people living in a three bedroom apartment to make ends meet.

Look at those prices for gas. My 17 year old nephew was just here and he can't stop laughing. He phone his 19 year old sister and told her.

Anyone knows when this was? He's asking me if it's true, so I told him yes.

I'm not exactly sure but I do remember in 1972 the gas was 36 cents a gallon, I filled my car up for $3.00.  So maybe sometime in the middle 70's.

Not quite sure about the price per gallon at that time, but I do remember waiting in line at the gas stations for at least 30 minutes to fill the tank.

@Sage04

 This web site  lists price of gas from 1930 to 2015.

 I do remember paying   40 cents  a gallon when I first started to drive , then the price went up suddenly

If you lower the price of gas, everything else goes down including housing and groceries. Gasoline is the most essential of all these things. It brings us food, clothing, shelter and medicine.
