Standards also say to be respectful, courteous and kind. No political or controversial discussions. We all see how that goes. Don't post if you are unhappy. @ronnieGal

Your mother isn't posting, you are. One email address per person. So you're violating standards imo. All the other posters shared their painful stories under their usual nic's and I respect that. Just goes to show not all posters are treated equally here.
I noticed you haven't been a regular poster here, your last post being almost 3 months ago, so I have to wonder why you're belaboring this particular point of yours. Have you been treated unfairly here and are you, therefore, resentful? Just curious.
No and Justina you know me from our other postings so you know I'm not resentful lol. I guess it's "belaboring' if it's not a popular question, thought it was ok to post my questions and respond to the posts that addressed me........
😉

Thank you, @croemer.
And if the mods (thank you guys) wanted to go ahead and close this thread now, that's ok with me. It's been such a positive experience, and I've taken everyone's comments to heart. I really can't thank you all enough... truly. I saw some beautiful things come out of this thread. I hope others did too. ![]()

Lucy, there is no reason to explain why you chose to post under an alternate nic. There is absolutely no reason why anyone needs to or should know your usual name. Your instincts about having your sanctuary compromised are correct.
I for one fully support your decision to use an alternate nic and appreciate that you were up front with that information from your first post. That alone earns my respect for your privacy. It is a much more honest approach than those that use alternate nics to deceive.
Perhaps the time that this thread has run its course is now. The speculation and questions and challenges will dilute any further support that may be forthcoming.
(((hugs)))

Ah, so we only can post if we are happy. Thanks.

You make a valid point ronniegal. I would feel like you if she was here to be trolling or stirring the pot. Uner these circumstances I have no problem with it. I understand not everyone will agree with me.

My point is that it seems you are here simply to cause trouble since you are just popping in after 3 months. It's a shame if that is, in fact, your m.o. However, if you seriously have a problem with this issue, may I suggest that you e-mail the moderators with your complaint instead of belaboring the point here. Thanks. :-)

I'm fine with the Op using an alternative nic for this situation. She fully disclosed her reasoning and I have no issue with it. Like the Op, I like to come here to participate without being attacked. OP needed to vent and people offered support. It's as simple as that.
OP, I'm sorry for what you are going thru. You and others have made me realize how grateful I am for my parents. Keeping you in my prayers.

Thanks for understanding my point and questions (which I did post respectfully and courteouslly imo) and I appreciate it. There's always room for other views on good chat boards.

@Marp You are a doll and I won't forget it. I'm writing the mods to see if they may want to close the thread. Up to them of course, but I agree with you 100%. Hugs...
