Re: I can't do this anymore.

I just wanted to also mention that I have never posted a thread like this before, not under any nick.  The reason I chose to post this thread under a nick other than my usual one is twofold.  I am not completely anonymous on this board in a few different respects.  The other reason is that I like to bring positivity to these boards.  I've never been in an altercation with anyone here and I've never posted anything negative before.  I make it a point to avoid all of that.  This place is a sort of sanctuary for me.  And I'm usually the one on the other end of this type of OP offering my words of support.  But I desperately needed that support from all of you yesterday.  I'm so glad I did choose to post, regardless of the nick, because the outpouring of encouragement and messages of "you are not alone" really inspired me.  And to be perfectly candid, once this thread has run its course, I would like go back to that "happy place" here on the boards without this being my "legacy."  Not to get too dramatic!  lol  I know many of you will understand my reasoning.  Woman HappyHeart

I'm sorry to read about the OP's situation but the very fact she's posting here with an alternate nic is a up front violation of the posted
'QVC Community Standards for Participation'
that I thought ALL of us were supposed to follow:

"Only one email address per person and only one screen name per email address are permitted."

http://www.qvc.com/QVCCommunity.content.html

So do some posters like the OP get a pass and get to break and violate Standards (even though most posters are honest and brave enough to vent or ask for help under their USUAL NIC like EVERYBODY ELSE did on this thread for example) but others get their threads poofed or they get banned if they violate standards? Honest question to you, moderators.  Double standards, special privileges for some?

 @Beth-QVC?

Re: I can't do this anymore.

@ronnieGal  The email associated with this nick is my mother's, and it is an active account through which she shops.  I don't think there are any rules against posting under the nick associated with my mom's account, as long as it's ok with her.

Re: I can't do this anymore.

I think the OP explained herself and why she chose to not use her real nic. She is not using it to hurt anyone. No one really knows who were are...or most no one knows... who we are. I am happy we could help in some small way.

Your mother isn't posting, you are. One email address per person. So you're violating standards imo. All the other posters shared their painful stories under their usual nic's and I respect that. Just goes to show not all posters are treated equally here.

So then it's ok for everybody to create a alternate nic as long as we have an acceptable excuse? I don't see that in the standards wadr, croemer.

She isn't posting under another nic without letting us know...she is being up front...why not let it be?

I noticed you haven't been a regular poster here, your last post being almost 3 months ago, so I have to wonder why you're belaboring this particular point of yours.  Have you been treated unfairly here and are you, therefore, resentful?  Just curious.

Because it's another example of the standards being applied uneven here imo.  What if everybody decides to do it and as long as they say oh by the way I'm breaking the standards but here's my excuse?  Just thought it was interesting and no body else that shared their stories hid behind a alternate nic.
