At the moment I'm drinking iced coffee with peppermint mocha creamer but five o'clock is right around the corner. To keep the mint theme going I'm planning on having a Peppermint Twist Martini.

Sure I will! There are so many different ways you could go. Some people use Bailey's Irish Cream but I prefer Godiva's Dark Chocolate Liqueur. Smirnoff makes Pepermint Twist vodka during the holidays so I use that too. Most people would say to use more of the liqueur than vodka but I like them stronger so I go 50-50. I put about an ounce and a half of each in a shaker with ice, shake it up, and pour. You can garnish with chocolate shavings or a mini candy cane and enjoy!

@PeterDM Beautiful, the glass is perfect and so festive! I think I'll try your idea of adding a little cream next time. I bet it helped cut the sweetness a bit as well. 

That peppermint vodka is good on the rocks but it has a sweetness of its own. It goes down so easily that I have to be careful so I don't end up with a hangover the next day.

I don't drink, but  I saw this thread title, and had to tell you.  I just bought a Tory Burch handbag in Shirazz!  The color is gorgeous.!  Is this color Shirazz similar to the actual wine color?

I live in a city that is in a valley that is lined with wineries and vineyards.  My daughter's and their husbands love to go the wineries for sampling.  I think they have a wine club pass.  LOL!  Many here in town have weddings there.  We have about 13 wineries in a row along a road in the country.  Nice drive, so close!
