when I realized I was one of the very few people who still say I'm sorry or excuse me when I accidently bump into someone.

When I hold the door for someone and they walk through and do not say thank you---or they don't hold the door for you.

Me too!!!!

When I see so many teens and adults sitting in their cars, with their necks bent forward, texting. Sometimes I think they are de*d. One time I actually knocked on the side window, thinking the person was unconscious. Not too good for their necks, for sure. Time will unfortunately tell........

When I noticed that most people do not RSVP to a party, dinner, shower etc., and the person throwing the event has to email or text or FB or call those invited to get a head count.

WHY! I think this is rude and takes away pleasure from the person giving the event.

DH asked a young boy (age 9) to meet him at 5 of ten to ring the church bells. He didn't know what that meant and we found out they now teach children to tell time digitally. The boy knew what 9:55 meant but not 5 of ten. Interesting isn't it?

When I realized sending a 'thank you for the interview' email to a hiring committee took the place of sending a letter. I checked with Human Resources Department who said -- yes, perfectly acceptable. Not a bad thing -- but it struck me that times.... they are a changin' [Dylan]. Oh, Dylan was....

I've heard of that in years, but I do remember it.
