I noticed it when I was watching Picnic the other day. When it first came out I identified with Kim Novak. Watching it now, I identify with her mother. I hate when that happens and am noticing it in a lot of old movies now. But I love old movies, so............

when I realized I was one of the very few people who still say I'm sorry or excuse me when I accidently bump into someone.

I realized manners and respect have little to no importance these days, especially in the business world and around elders.

The cost of my item at the store is $5.26. I give the young girl cashier a $20 bill plus a quarter and a penny. She just stares at it and asks why I am giving her that amount. I finally say - Just enter it in the cash register and you will see what I am doing. She does and is so surprised to have to give me only two bills in change.
