Someone who returned a call I made, said she is working from home and it is difficult. Things she'd have printed out and given me can only be viewed online. I told her I completely understood and that it was nice they found a way to keep working safely. At least these people are drawing paychecks. I can't imagine the stress of having a two paycheck family one week, and having it all stop the next week.

I never would have been able to do it. To many other things in the house would be calling my name!

We live 6 miles from where my husband works. All were given the choice to work at home about 10 days ago or so. He continued working at the office until this past Friday. He says he is close enough to home that it doesn't really matter. But the higher ups stated they would rather for the time being have the employees work from home. So he is and even though it is just the two of us and he can sit at home on the work computer in sweatpants I think he would rather be at work because it feels like work at the office.

Many here would be thankful just to have a job.

I'm grateful I CAN work from home during this.

Really?

I'm having a love/hate relationship with working from home. It is different but gets challenging at times with limited technological resources.

It does get old after a while. I did this once before several years ago, but that was for one week when our campus was closed.
Now I still get up early (6 AM) shower, get dressed to stay home. Walk over the the computer. Get in touch via video with my coworkers.....and it's off the races. Stay on my computer all day. Take breaks to walk to the kitchen and the bathroom. Take out the trash. I spent my lunch hour vacuuming the floors. One of my coworker works in pj's. I can't. Have to up and dressed as if I'm going to work physically.

I worked 16 years for an insurance company before I retired in 2016 and for the last 4 years I worked from home and loved it ! My daughter is working from home now and she has a 4 yr old so it's a challenge but she would rather be home than at her job site now.
