@rms1954

The only time people ask me about what I am wearing is at the ice rink. When I pull up with a license plate that has NYRNGRS on it! Wearing a jacket that has New York Rangers on it, and a hat that has a New York Rangers logo on it?  "Are you a Rangers fan"?

Once in awhile someone on the ice will ask me "how old are your skates"?  To which I reply, "I bought them in 1992". I let them do the math.

My regular apparel?  🙂  Are you homeless?

Actually happens to me quite frequently-- people compliment my clothes, shoes, bags, etc.  I am not sure if it is my purchases, or the way I carry myself.

In my younger more trendy, fashionable years I even had a hooker come up to me and tell me she loved my outfit. True story!

I often get compliments on how good I smell. I wear Amazing Grace. I feel like when a company sells out to a larger corporation, a lot of customers automatically assume there will be a change for the worse. That has not been my experience with Philosophy fragrance.

Same here @smoochy .  I get complimented when wearing Amazing Grace.

I've been complimented on different things over the years, from the clothes I've worn, handbags I carried, the scent I had on and my hair color and my eye makeup.

But the most recent was in a grocery store parking lot, a guy told me he really liked the pickup truck I was driving!

I've worn many fragrances over the years including Philosophy. They never lasted on me.  The ONLY fragrance I received compliments on was Perlier Pink Peony perfume. It was a beautiful scent, and of course they quit making it!

I have actually had people ask me about a fragrance (Pure Grace), and also about a Dooney purse before..But they weren't complete strangers off the street-they were either co-workers or someone from church, family, etc.........

I think fragrance is probably the biggest one-because I know if I smell someone who I thinks smells really good-I will ask them the name of the fragrance!!!

But QVC hosts overly exaggerate of course!  LOL!

Over the years a few people have complimented my hair or asked where I had it cut.  Otherwise, I try to blend in as unobtrusively as possible so my clothes and such are not notable.  I've never approached anyone and asked where they bought something.

Whenever I get asked where I got something, I usually have gotten it at Costco or someplace like Steinmart, never from QVC.  I used to buy clothes from QVC but prices got out of hand, shipping costs too.

NO ONE will stop you or anyone else if you are wearing most of the things that QVC offers lol

Imagine someone saying...." I LOVE the look of layers and all of those crazy color combinations" (LOGO)

Or

"I must have that tee with sequined cats and pumpkins" (Quacker)

Or

"Those pull up pants and cheap/unstylish 3/4 top are fabulous" (D&Co)
