The only thing I have been stopped and asked about was my Life Is Good "Happy Hour" t-shirt (woman sitting with her dog looking at a sunset) which I bought not from QVC but LIG's website.....

I still get asked about a GILI bag I have carried so often that I won't even donate it once I find a replacement.  Not sure how long I've owned it, but I know it was a TSV sometime before LR left QVC.

I have received complements on Patricia Nash handbags, Barbara Bixby jewelry, American West jewelry and Linea clothing.

But your point is well taken; it is a sales pitch that rings hollow most of the time.

@KingstonsMom

I have that same bag and several of the accessories.

Bought it in 2010 when I retired and still love it.

I did a search yesterday and one of the most recent versions is pink.  Very pretty, but the copper is a classic.

I think you know the reasons for that...lol.   I'm a fashionista.  I like looking good, I like putting putting outfits together.  I don't like to blend in so women do indeed ask me where I bought this or that.  Last week I did a red&white look with jeans and a woman at the next table complimented me on how everything coordinated so beautifully and she wanted to know where I bought my red Joan Rivers barn jacket that I have had for years.  Sometimes I share where I bought something, sometimes I don't.

Over the years, I've had many people stop me to complement something I'm wearing, from clothing to jewelry, even my hair since letting it go silver. Less so after retiring and enjoying a very casual lifestyle.

But, there's one jean jacket I purchased from Coldwater Creek many years ago, that will always receive compliments. That's probably because I've never seen anything like it. It's really pretty and unique.

I'll never expect someone to compliment my t-shirts and joggers, though. It takes something a little special for folks to notice in our busy world.

Re: I Guarantee You

[ Edited ]

Years ago I purchased a Black Hills Silver Blue Hellenite ring. I have been complimented on it and asked what the stone is MANY times both by men and by women.

The ring is one of the least expensive QVC jewelry pieces I own but it's by far the most popular! I love it, too.

I get stopped quite often and complimented on either clothes, shoes. purse or how outfits are put together.   Sometimes people just say in passing how nice what I am wearing is.  I think it is because I take time to put things together so they look good and are eye catching.  Also I am a friendly person and look like I am probably because of what I am wearing.  And by the way I am wearing mostly QVC clothes, etc. when that happens

I got stopped in the mall by someone telling me I had nice skin and then tried to pull me over to a kiosk! does that count?
