What do you miss about it?
@LizzieInSRQ there are some channels I used to watch that we don't get any longer and I miss the ease of just being able to put a channel number in instead of having to scroll through the guide to get to what you want to watch.
I understand what you mean about channel numbers vs the scroll guide. I tend to use the vocal remote to help with that.
Variety is why i bought YouTubeTv. You may want to look into Philo which is inespensive. Im dont know what channels you are missing or id help. Ive learned a lot in the last 3 weeks lol

Rest assured you were not the last one to "cut the cord". BUT, I am cutting it tomorrow.
In January my bill increased to $252 for basic cable. I called trying to renegotiate and they were less than willing. I don't understand that because I thought Xfinity has lost thousands and thousands of customers to streaming.
My condo has fiber optic internet in our building and I can connect for $20 a month with no tax/fees. I currently have Amazon Prime, Hulu. (at a special $.99/mo) and plan on streaming Youtube TV.
I am ashamed that I have spent so much on cable all these years and am excited to be saving so much money, but at the same time I fear I will miss something I currently have certain special things I have recorded and re-watch. What happens to them?😥
It's good to hear yours is a favorable experience. That is encouraging.

We did that 2 yrs ago. DISH kept me on the phone trying everything to keep me as a customer. We have not missed a thing. Love not seeing the news in my face. We should have done it long ago. I don't know why I waited so long?

What did you do with the dish?

@Mom2Dogs I just last week canceled my dads tv, landline and only kept internet with Spectrum. The cost of internet is $39.99/mo with the "promo" for this next year. I'll be canceling that too as soon as his house sells.

A couple of years ago, our Verizon FIOS "bundle" fees kept getting higher and higher, so we cut the cord and subscribed to Sling TV.
We still use Verizon for our internet, but that's it.
Hubby just installed a "trial version" of YouTube TV, and he's thinking of switching to that as opposed to Sling now.
He says the 5 or 6 channels that I like are included, so it doesn't make me any difference, as long as we're saving money and not paying those outrageous prices any more.

Just a FYI...any time a provider issues you a "free" modem, it is always going to be a bottom of the barrel device. That may or may not concern some of you, just wanted to put that out there.

DISH is who we had satellite TV with for 24 yrs.
Back when we started service with them they did not offer local channels. We had to install an antenna.

Not true in my case.. i received from Frontier for free with no monthly charge an Eero Pro 6E. Its not bottom of the barrel. It was $400 two years ago. Are there newer versions of Eero yes. But my home is less than the 1500 square feet this one device covers. Its working brilliantly. I dont mind that it is not the newest version. Mine got great reviews when i looked it up just now.
I want to vomit when i think i paid $14 a month to rent Comcast's modem for 11.5 years, nearly $2000.00

@magicmoodz if you are going to be connect to your fiber optic with an Amazaon Firestick or Google Chromecast Device those usually come with some free streaming apps amd Hulu too. I bet if you do a search for shows you previously had recirded in cable, youll probably find them on your new services. If you list them, i could check if i can find them to let you know. I dont get Hulu however.
Or you can google those shows asking who streams their library.
