Good grief, it takes so little to tickle me pink.............grass.  The snow is finally melting.

While I'm happy to see that blasted snow melting I know here in NE PA  the real cold and snow can return.  For now I will take what I can get.

My furnace is running but not like it was.

DD was walking across the parking lot at work yesterday and fell.  The snow had melted and refroze over night.  There was a thin layer of ice she didn't see and went on her backside.  She wasn't hurt but said she hoped no one saw her. She was carrying a cup of coffee and didn't spill a drop.

Is your snow gone yet?

Re: I Can See Grass In My Yard

No snow where I live but temps are supposed to be in the mid 80's next week. Too soon for that. Hope it cools back down.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 Much of the snow is in a melting frame of mind here in northern Delaware.  The grass is gradually making an appearance to the delight of all the birds who can now enjoy their pick of the bugs once again.  Yesterday there was a robin snatching a worm for breakfast.

Re: I Can See Grass In My Yard

The snow seems to be receeding on the patches of grass but more is predicted for the weekend

I was able to take my garbage out yesterday for the first time in three weeks!

Re: I Can See Grass In My Yard

Most of the snow has melted in my yard, but a little remains.  My deck and roof is free from snow.

The rain we have had has washed the salt away from the streets too.

Now, the deer have returned and have munched on my shrubs again.  We sprayed the shrubs yesterday. Hopefully, they will look for food elsewhere.

The herd of deer that frequent the woods seem to be finding something to eat now that the snow has melted.

Re: I Can See Grass In My Yard

Yes, it's been a really great melting week.  Snow around here is gone except for what was once large piles of plowed snow and I've noticed some snow in creek beds where the sun doesn't get to it.  We were right around 70 yesterday and about 62 today with rain and the possibility of some severe weather early this evening.  Less than an inch of snow is predicted for Sunday morning.

Re: I Can See Grass In My Yard

I cannot believe it but 99% of our snow is GONE! There is still a bit on our deck outside my office doors but even the snow in the fields is gone. It's too foggy to see the mountains across from us so hard to tell over there.
